This cap is designed for pre-fabricated chimneys that have a double wall or triple wall pipe system. This means that it will fit over the other layers of pipe preventing any moisture from entering the system, and also allowing the chimneys thermosyphoning system to work properly which is air flow by which the chimney breathes. A stainless steel strap locks the cap down onto the base of the chimney and holds it in place preventing the wind from blowing it off. Superb in quality and design, this cap is well suited for replacement of your original cap, and has been tested to UL Standards. Available in sizes 6" x 9" to 11" x 13 1/2" Also comes with a 1/2" inch or 1" spark screen.
